Project 1: Type Research
Select and research one of the typefaces below. Find out as much as you can about it and write a few
notes on what you have discovered. There is no minimum or maximum to the amount you write, just
write enough to give us as complete a picture as possible.
Then, using only the selected typeface, create a design using your notes as the text, highlighting the
unique characteristics of the letterforms.
Specs:
7 x 7 square
Black only, tints are acceptable
Do not alter text, you may use different weights, however
The name of the typeface must be included

Project 1: Comp Phase
After having critiques in class, there were students who suggested adding something because of so much white space.
Project 1: Final Phase
Since I decided to do Gills Sans in the shape of a fish, I thought it would be a great idea to just make it a fish aquarium and add marbles and plants as well. I received great feed back from the class.
