Identity Project
The Prompt
I was asked to redesign a business’s identity. From the list of options, I chose a Thai Restaurant, Thai ‘99 Kitchen. Because I grew up in Thailand, it stuck out to me the most.
The Product
In order to present Thai culture well, I chose to include a figure of a woman in traditional Thai clothing. I also opted to include a geometric design similar to that which one may find in the designs of classic Thai skirts. I decided to go with the colors red and orange because, once again, many traditional Thai garments can be found in these colors. I also chose the colors to remind the viewer of spices, as Thai food is generally considered to be incredibly spicy.
