Stonehenge: The Weathered Prophecy

Stonehenge: The Weathered Prophecy
A circle of standing, massive stones.
We don't know who built it, or why, but we know when.

The winds rip through that field, like the chill of a grave.
In that land it's either foggy or raining,  and all around the monument the hillside rolls away like a green sea.
The stones are still standing against time, guided and disturbed by humans.
Druids never built it, and neither did Aliens.

Linoleum- relief print
this is the second installment, following the earlier Hagia Sophia. Like that one this was done at home with a rolling pin, rather than a real press.
The piece was mostly cut last fall, but with our unending winter and inclement weather, I was unable to test run it until early last month.
This is the pre-edition,as a taste for the eventual standardized edition.
The two pieces will are part of a larger project, with the eventual goal of an artist's book.
