NOSUCH agency approached me to create the centerfold illustration for a book to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of VARO Energy, a company that provides energy solutions to its customers located across Europe.
The brief was to create a isometric illustration that contained the words "10 years" in four different languages build from elements related to the company, such as windmills, solar panels, oil refineries, tubes, pipes and tankers. It was a wonderful job that gave me tremendous creative freedom. It made me rediscover my love for working in an isometric perspective and building 'cityscapes'.

I started by designing a typeface that would also work as a grid system to build the road pieces. Once I figured that out I translated that into 3D shapes. In Cinema4D I built a grid and snapping system so that every road piece would always snap to the next one no matter what. This idiot-proof workflow saved me a lot of headache and frustration and made building this a breeze.
