■ Every artist here acts as a witch researcher: collects data and legends of local folklore about her, weaving them together, interviews locals, watches from hiding, or makes direct contact with a witch, risking themselves.

Here you find out that witches are very different:
beautiful girls, disgusting hags, creepy monsters and awe-inspiring deities.

■ My point of interest was the horrible and dangerous witch Black Annis from rural Leicestershire Dane Hills. Living in the sandstone cave near old giant oak, she hunts people or steals children to eat them. No one can tell if she's a human being or not, does she have a human mind. They also say she can change her appearance.

a large area to the west of the English city of Leicester:







Done in Procreate. For the painting I entirely used "The Perfect Oils" brush set,
imitating impasto (thick relief oil paint) effect:
