A streaming show by Peacock NBC Universal based on the homonymous novels by Richelle Mead. During its 10 episodes we will follow the path of Lisa in her self-discovery as a Moroi (vampire) accompanied by her loyal Damphir (human guardian) friend Rose.

I worked as a graphic designer within the art team making concepts and designs of symbols, logos, stained glass windows, tombs... and a wide variety of elements in props and stand by props.
Under the direction of Llorenç Miquel, Andy Chevailler, Jordi Canora and Alfonso Mancha, each piece is part of a long process developed as a team between directors, designers, illustrators and producers.
In the following images you will see the pieces that I have considered most interesting to share of all the ones in which I participated.
Thanks to each and every one of the people who were part of processes that I have enjoyed and learned so much from.

Element Symbols: An initial step was to design symbols that represented the 5 elements that each Moroi is capable of mastering.
These symbols must look ancient and part of the traditional Moroi history (also had to work as a whole system).

Chapel: I designed (from scratch) a shield that symbolized St. Vladimir and his religion. This shield became the centerpiece of the altar.
On the other hand (after many tests) and with very specific references from management, four abstract stained glass windows were made to symbolize the four elements.
Royal tombs: Director requested a classic tomb style, with enough ornaments to denote high economic level and easily distinguish elements belonging to the Dragomir family.
Damphir Bar: Isotype for the village Damphir's club. Art director wanted to avoid texts and find a very iconic image, easily recognizable by the viewer, evoking the feeling of a cool community. We mixed the image of a snake (which symbolizes the Strigoi) and the traditional dagger that a Damphir uses to finish them off by crossing out its shape.
Feeding chamber: The guidelines were to create complementary stained glass windows that evoke the rituals with their light (sun) and dark (moon).
Chapel of Secrets: Stained glass window in which we see Saint Vladimir fighting against a Strigoi (always represented by snakes).
The Alchemists: Some concepts worked with the makeup team for the "alchemists"(mysterious characters with golden tattoos that must have reminded some kind of magical tribe)
Time machine: In this case technical team provided me with exact plans of the machine as well as some very specific references. This work consisted of illustrating all these pieces and preparing final arts for production. A work absolutely full of details that are not always seen but help to fill and understand the scene.
