The goal was to create a light and low soulplate for the Deshi skates.

In 2006 I helped to create the Deshi CH1 soulplate, the first ever one piece flat UFS soulplate but only two years later, in 2008 I finally had the chance to create a new plate following the vision I wanted for the Deshi carbon skate: a sleek and minimalistic plate, lighter but with more soul and negative space and better shaped groove. The Deshi carbon became a huge success for Deshi and the plate was carried into the USD carbon and carbon free skates setting the path for a new generation of one piece soulplates that other brands started to follow. 

This plate has been included in more than 40 inline skate models by Deshi and USD skates and 14 years later it is still the soulplate of choice of some of the best skaters in the world.
