My Personal Position
Sameer, a Sanskrit word, signifies a light breeze or a gust of wind. My ethnicity is Indian, and Sanskrit is the country's ancient and classical tongue. I spent most of my youth in Rotorua, attended John Paul College for my high school education, and was raised with Hindu customs and values. I've always loved being creative and exploring new things, which motivated me to pursue a career in design. I hold strong beliefs and values that are very important to me; some of them align with the UNSDGs, such as Life on Land. Ahimsa, the guiding principle of Hinduism, is respecting animal rights and the conviction that no living thing should be harmed. Many Hindus hold cows in great respect and refrain from eating beef, and in the majority of Indian locations where Hinduism is cultivated, you won't find beef-based foods. And because the sustainable aim is all about boosting agricultural growth and conserving living things, it has a similar focus.
Orangutanga was a key kawa I wanted to pay attention to. I have always led a spiritual life. Thus I find this subject to be quite fascinating. I also discovered that Hinduism holds many spiritual beliefs. They accept all forms of devotion and spiritual study. They believe that all religions point to the same divine. It is fascinating to observe how my values align with the purpose of the design and the significance of Maori culture.
Future Diary
In week 1 of Design 231, the entire class participated in a group activity where we would write a diary of our future selves in the year 3037. It was fascinating to see what I had written, and I found that I was writing anything in my head or anything that I have been fascinated about, such as having a 'Bugatti.'. If I were to expand my diary, I would add the little things I never thought of adding when writing this. Little things just as watering my plants and doing my morning prayers to god.
Values that I implement in my daily life would be in my future diary now that I have thought long and hard about what I can imagine my future to be. If I try to visualize my life in the future, I hope that I have gone on a successful path and earned a good amount of money. I have been brought up to stay humble in life, so I can still see myself following and implementing the same values as I do now.
