L'architettura è una disciplina incredibile, sia per la sua necessità, sia per l'impatto incredibile nella vita di ogni persona.
Soprattutto la corrente del brutalismo sintetizza, per me, la tensione tra opera d'arte e funzionalità. Le forme spigolose e massicce, il cemento e il vetro.
Sono parte di una illusione, di un protendersi verso un sogno e crederlo giusto per chiunque. Tante di queste opere e di questi edifici sono meravigliosi non solo nella propria difficile eleganza, ma anche per la durezza con cui sopportano il tempo e l'incuria. Diventano specchio di un tentativo, diventano sfregi, templi vuoti, cuori di ruggine e polvere.

Above all, the current of brutalism summarizes, for me, the tension between work of art and functionality. The angular and massive forms, the concrete and the glass.
They are part of an illusion, of reaching out towards a dream and believing it is right for anyone. Many of these works and buildings are marvelous not only in their difficult elegance, but also for the hardness with which they endure time and neglect. They become the mirror of an attempt, they become scars, empty temples, hearts of rust and dust.
