There exist numerous expense management apps in the market today, however most of them come overloaded with features that are often not needed. This project was executed with the aim of designing a simple expense management app that read the transaction SMSes on the phone rather than the user having to manually input the expenses. The day, month and year views gave the user an overview on which areas he/she is spending the most amount of money. The below images show some early iterations on how the views were visualized. The idea of pop-out hierarchical menu was an interesting concept but however was technically challenging to implement.
