A long time ago as a class project I drew a piece celebrating Jamaican culture by mimicking a travel poster and depicting Carnival time on the island. Then, 2 years ago, a whopping 6 years after I first made and shared this piece I discovered someone on Ebay selling this art and engaged in a short but heated battle to get him to take it down. Long story short, this piece that I had brushed off because it no longer highlighted my talents to the level I am at currently is probably my most valuable piece because it was an example that all my work no matter how I feel about them has worth. So this year I decided to look back on the original and reinterpret it to showcase where my skill level is today and I'm quite happy with the end result, fingers crossed this one doesn't get stolen this time.
