I am a self-taught artist. I have been drawing since I was a young child and until recently, almost all of my works have been in graphite pencil. Since I've not had formal art training, I have always been intimidated by color. Last August (2013) I started experimenting with some really old, cheap watercolors I had since high school, pastel pencils, and also bought some inks and acrylic pens. I really liked the results, and eventually upgraded to Daniel Smith watercolors. After much experimenting, I found my favorite media to be a combination of watercolor (Daniel Smith), colored pencil (Faber-Castell Polychromos) , and acrylic pens (Posca) on hot-press watercolor paper (Arches). I am having a lot of fun with my newly-discovered media and still have a lot to learn!
