Valentines Postcard 2014
Two weeks before Valentines day, a couple of friends of mine commisioned me to design a valentines postcard to be for sale a week before the bloody romantic day.
I wanted the illustraton to be wholesome, romantic but mysterious in a way
and not to look too cheesy. To be honest, it took me a couple of days to imagine what elements should I incorporate on my illustration.
First, I created a study for the card.
After finishing the study I realized that it will be much better if I include a
male character on the card just incase a female customer also wanted to avail the postcard. Furthermore, I was inspired to make the postcard look like a playing card to make it a little attractive.
I started the line art using a red ballpoint pen then added watercolor.

And finally, here's the edited and final output of my project.
