Poems for Real Everybodys

I had another kid lit book published this year with Modern Magic Press, Galina Sokolinskaya's "Poems for real everybodys" (Галина Соколинская, "Стихи для настоящих всех"). It's a book of poetry against gender stereotypes, which means that not only was this a fun thing to work on, but I also felt like I was contributing a little to the betterment of society.
Outside of doing all the illustrations, I also designed the cover and the overall layout of the book. It was a lot of work, but it was all worth it to finally see it published. Here's the book's author Galina Sokolinskaya out in the wild with her copy:

I settled on a color palette early on. The pages would be either predominantly green or predominantly pink, with the occasional yellow here and there. I also included some brighter colors for small accents. Meanwhile, the blues are completely absent.
Here are the first several spreads of the book in GIF form:

The book has already achieved some positive attention, making it onto the "Recommended" list on arts & culture publication Wonderzine and being featured on women-centric Горящая изба.
