The Triple Moon Goddess is a sacred symbol, found in modern pagan practices such as Wicca, which has links to ancient European origins. It is a symbol of change, representing: the moon phases, changing seasons and an archetypal triad of the Maiden, Mother and Crone.

Though the images of models I used to represent the triad, look to be similar in ages, I felt a sense of the triad when I first saw this advertisement. The model to the left looks the youngest and has a bit of a shy body language, like she isn't as certain of herself yet. The middle model, representing the full moon, looks more confident and sexually suggestive, indicating older traits than the first model. The last model seems more content, expressing a wisdom and sense of settling down that can come with older age. The triad represents a woman's life cycle.

I chose their clothing to show an image of a flying witch, to represent the stigma and feminist aspects behind many pagan practices such as Wicca. These women could also be seen as modern "witches", with the goth-like make-up seen in countercultures that embrace paganism.
