The Russian invasion of Ukraine has served a cold reminder just how crucial a free press is to expose true agendas of those in power. So while on Press Freedom Day we celebrate those journalists brave enough to bring us the truth, we acknowledge that there is not a lot to be happy about.
We wanted to create a video that expressed this feeling through animation and when Anna came back with three powerful scripts we couldn't settle on one and so decided to create two spots.
Robin sketched and designed the scenes which perfectly set the mood. We had a two man animation team on the videos and it was great to have the opportunity to collaborate with Lance Theunnisen for the first time.
