GRL PWR is a feminist music festival in Argentina. I designed the visual identity for the first edition and luckily they asked me to design it again this year (2019)

I was in charge of designing the entire visual identity, including the lettering, logo, artists announcements for social media  posts, main poster, line up poster, billboard ad and also I painted a mural live during the event.

Here’s some info of the process: I started drawing two girls referencing that is the second edition of the festival, and this led me instantly to want to portray the sisterhood. I drew them in a way that they might look like sisters, there is an essence in their eyes that unites them but they are also somewhat different.
I created them as warriors at night in the nature, bare-chested and tattooed. I wanted to create the feeling they are not in a specific time or space, being a dreamlike or lysergic appearance more than a literal representation. I believe that feminine power has a lot to do with what is not seen on the surface, it is connected with the hidden, mystical and ancestral. That's why I moved away from realistic images and appealed to generate an emotional response through a very stimulating drawing, an explosion of colors and shapes that make your eyes wander discovering small details, and takes you to a different reality.
