Between Human Nature is an interactive audiovisual installation inviting the public to participate in an exercise in creative reflection about the relationship between human beings and nature. Developed to be an active conversation between contributions from the studio team and the audience itself, which is invited to interact and transform the audiovisual result.
The process starts by capturing original footage, an observation exercise of the surrounding natural world often overlooked in the urban frenzy. The video is transformed by generative visual distortions, enabling a disruptive, decontextualized look that promotes new perspectives born from the intersection between the organic and the digital world. The result is reproduced in an immersive audiovisual installation, highlighting an overlap between the aesthetics of technology and the natural world it presents.
The movement of the body — captured by 3D sensors — is the element transforming the visual elements presented in real-time. A new frame of reference is created, seeking to promote the restless and divergent exploration of new meanings for the coexistence between humanity and the universe that encompasses us.
