Fictional creative experience
Client: Museum of Ho Chi Minh City

This project is featured on RMIT University Vietnam's official showcase website: https://www.rmitvn-showcase.com/scd-ds-y1/en/saigon-folklores

In 2021-2022, the author had the honor of working with the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) in the scope of the university design final year course “Capstone Studio 1”. The project “Sài Gòn Tích” (Sai Gon Folklore) was the response to the Museum’s brief, which was designing (fictionally) an experience that celebrates a certain aspect of Saigon City and Community, as well as revamping the Museum’s image to better attract local visitors in the post-pandemic setting.
"Sài Gòn Tích" project was born with the goal of honoring the beautiful personalitíe of Saigon people through the ordinary yet prideful Saigon stories of kindness. The project includes an annual event held at Turtle Lake, several art installations, and a website dedicated to the project. "Sài Gòn Tích" aims to bring a fresh, youthful breeze to the museum, create a collection of stories that reflect the modern Saigonese with their signature lifestyle and charismatic characteristics, such as generosity, empathy, and carefree spirits.
The project ended at the demo phase, which resulted in a tutorial video, a set of prototypes, and most importantly, a Process Book that genuinely reflects the production process, design management approach, and prototypes materials.

The first part of the Process Book (page 01-51) is presented below.
The project was developed under the course “Capstone Studio 1” (October 2021 - January 2022), Bachelor of Design Studies, RMIT University of Vietnam.

Its assets were developed using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effect, and 3D Blender.

To be continued.
