Napoleon's Bicentennial 1821- 2021
Napoleonic Meme Factory presents Napoleon's Bicentennial from 1821 - 2021.
The designer decided to take on this apparel design project to celebrate her favorite historical figure Napoleon Bonaparte's bicentenary. Drawn to her inspiration to present the former French leader's image in ambiguous ways. The designer took the opportunity for this commission on Instagram.
The artist's work was designed to primarily fit onto T-Shirts. The design had to be centered with enough detail to catch attention. She used icons and symbols to support her design compositions that presented Napoleon's empire. She fashions the use of a laurel leaf crown in her designs since it represents how Napoleon wore it at his coronation. She also used cannons, bees, and flags with an eagle staff to enhance her design in fabulous ways.
