In October 2021, the city of Enumclaw, Washington announced a Municipal Flag Design Contest to introduce the city's first official flag in anticipation of city hall's 100th birthday.
This design was chosen as one of eight finalists and was announced by The Courier-Herald, Enumclaw's local news source in January 2022.
