Absence
Absence considers death and our own impermanence. After scanning a found nineteenth-century photograph and digitally removing the subject, I made a collodion wet plate from the resulting image. The shiny surface of the tintypes allows the viewer to see themselves reflected in the spot where the subject once stood.
