Goola Jawa is an Indonesian-Fusion bakery that focused on promoting Indonesian/South-east Asian flavours to the general audience.
The word "Goola" is a stylised word of "Gula" which means "Sugar"
and "Jawa" which means "Java" in Indonesian. The whole word itself is another word for palm sugar which is a common flavour/substance that is used to make most indonesian traditional sweets.
Goola Jawa represents the ever expanding globalisation of flavours that was brought by the unknown immigrants who came from Indonesia to the western countries. This joint hopefully will also bridge the immigrants back home with a sense of familiarity.
