This is my own perception of the Armenian flag.
The flag consists of a golden Cross on a red field, and the flag is charged in the center by the Armenian eternity symbol.

The cross represents Armenia being the first christian country in the world.
The choice of the colors were inspired by the historic Armenian flags; The red stands for Armenian Highlands, survival, and freedom.
The symbol (Arevakhatch) has a deep meaning, and it also represents the rich and long history of Armenia.
