Project: Create an oracle deck, which is a deck that consists of affirmation cards using an old magic tradition known as sigils.
Process:
Sigil making is an old tradition of witchcraft of crafting a spell or creating a symbol with intention. By meditating on the intent and rearranging the lines of a single sentence, such as, "I Am Loved," you assign that symbol that meaning, and it should be manifested to you.
The method that I used was the number method. You first cross out all the vowels in your sentence, then cross out all repeated letters. Then, you can either choose to construct the sigil using the lines of the letters, or, you can draw this grid as shown above, and like a game of witchcraft leapfrog, you jump from number to number assigned to each letter base on its sequence of the alphabet.
Project Challenges:
-Creating an entire meaning with only numbers and at least 2 letters
-Not making any of the symbols look like the letters that spell out the meaning
