Mount Annan Christian College

Mount Annan Christian College is taking an innovative approach to schooling which considers individual learning styles and incorporates real life experiences. They cater for Prep, Junior, Middle and High school students. We have completed an exciting rebrand of the school with the aim to break the mould and think outside the box.

Our initial research found that schools really haven't strayed too far from the crest. MACC felt that their current branding had minimal significance to the current and future direction of the school so they were looking for a simple, clean and timeless graphic that moved away from a traditional identity. We wanted to create a changeable logo to represent individuality and cater for its wide range of use.

The most notable change is the move away from the school colours (green and yellow) as MACC felt the corporatisation that the school colours created was inconsistent with their new direction and communicated a different message.

The logo is an 'idea spark' to symbolise creativity and innovation. The connected loops represent community but the varying sizes and colour represent diversity. Using colour gradients, the logo comes to life and takes several different forms to allow for flexibility and to represent different departments or year groups.

The result is a fresh and bold brandmark that represents the new direction in schooling, one that students can take ownership of, regardless of age.
ADDING COLOUR
SECONDARY COLOUR PALLETE
The secondary colour palette is made from the gradients that are formed between two primary colours. These are used to differentiate year groups or departments. The logo can also be reversed so the gradient becomes the background.
USING THE BRAND
The logo can be cropped off the page so that the logo becomes a continuous 'timeline' which wraps around the whole school so that everything becomes part of the school community.
