One of our clients was supplying a tender to Optus and they asked us to create a presentation box housing an iPhone and USB drive.

 

We used the Optus speech bubble as the outside shape of the box with the Optus 'yes' ontop. The casing was made from 25mm plywood with a CNC routed void. We then inserted laser cut clear acylic with vinyl applied to the rear into the box, creating a tray. The lid was aslo made from laser cut clear acrylic with a vinyl backing.

 

We used a mixture of timber and acrylic so the box has a handmade and personal feel to it,  but also featured a strong use of the Optus branding and the clear acrylic created depth.

 

The project challenged us to think latteraly and work across the various mediums and disciplines available to us and to be very precise to acheive a high quality finish.
