2021 Nostell Priory

Nostell Priory is one of the historic properties owned by the National Trust. Previously owned by the Winn family, who bought the land in 1654 and commissioned James Paine to build the house in the early C18, Nostell Priory is an interesting example for Palladianism. The house has its symmetry, but the additional wing to the right, which was designed by Robert Adam, somehow makes the whole property something not-that-neo-classical.

A few weeks ago, my previous boss and I went to this beautiful house for some walking and photography. This place also features a doll house, also known as the Nostell's Doll House, one of the few doll houses that has survived for almost 300 years. My boss have created a photogrammetry for this dedicate artefact, and this digital piece of work is still being exhibited in the house. Apart from the house itself, these is a huge lake within the precinct and can take almost a whole afternoon to walk around. Bathed in the sunshine of autumn, everything here is chilled and unforgettable.
