Paddy Power GAA Crests

For the 2021 GAA Season, Paddy Power were informed by the folks in Croke Park that we weren't allowed to use any images of GAA players, crests, jerseys, stadiums, trophies, fans, or anyone at all anywhere who is a cousin of someone who had at any stage been a member of a GAA club, in our advertising.

Or something like that.

Anyway, we needed a solution to advertise our whopper offers throughout the inter-county season. Ideally one that could be adapted to fit all the potential matchups for the rest of the season.

Bringing back to life an idea that was born a few years ago with former PP mischief-maker Féilim Mac An Iomaire, we developed new, and some would say better, crests for the last 8 counties left in the hurling and football championships.

We granted the rest of Ireland's wishes and split Dublin in two. Cork finally gained independence. We made Kildare's most famous Big Ball its logo for its Big Ball team. John Mullane is seen coming good on his promised celebration for Waterford. And of course, the priest that put the curse on Mayo is there, lighting a few candles.

Concepts by myself, Dave Kee and the PP brand team, and illustrated by Dave.
