National Environment Agency | EcoFriend Awards Booklet

What comes to our mind when we talk about sustainability is the efforts build upon one another of small actions, yet great collective impact for the future and…wind turbines. Why wind turbines? You may have noticed that it is usually a sea of wind turbines to generate substantial wind power; we don’t think we have ever seen a solo wind turbine.

Like the wind turbines, EcoFriend Awards celebrate individuals coming together to make an environmental difference – strength in numbers is energy. With this behind our idea for the booklet, the white sleek silhouette of the wind turbine inspires the clean, triangular design and orange theme. Orange is friendly, confident and optimistic of the future. It also seeks to remind readers of EcoFriend logo’s brand colours. NEA chose us to have a refreshing change from the usual green theme.

We had a little glitch in the printing method, which affected the production lead time. We knew we need to suggest an alternative to handle the media conference on the promised day.
We offered to provide every journalist – an 8GB thumbdrive stored with an electronic copy of the booklet and the recipients’ photos – on our cost. The perfect solution for a happy ending:
*Enhance the identity of the award as pushing for efforts to be more environmentally friendly
*Reusable
*Easy and quick access to files
*Time saver for NEA and the journalists
