On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, in March 2021, the Department of German Language & Literature, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, launched its Graduate Network (Alumni-Netzwerk). The network refers to people with current or past links to the Department and aims in informing scholars about German Language & Literature events, jobs, news. We designed a logo that depicts a hanging mobile consisting of books, in a game of balance, created out of the relationships among the members, though with a playful character and of course a strict reminder of german aesthetics. Using the booka as parts of the whole, we intend to imply the openness of the network to not only students or freshly-graduates but also to the friends of the Department and German Language & Literature in general, that may derive from different generations.
