Photography teaches me about connections. Especially when the composition of a photo is changed to ‘Monochrome’ or ‘Black & White’, it brings back a powerful memory of why I took that photo. Hence, I feel a sudden connection, one that is not usually there when looking at a picture with colour. 
 
Below are a series of images that I have taken over time. The comparison between colour and monochrome is to demonstrate how the composition of a photograph changes its meaning or the message conveyed.

There is a storage cabinet that sits in the dinning room of my parents home. On top of it is a plastic tray that holds the car keys, a wooden box of tissue, a beautiful ceramic teapot with cups that my mother never decides to use and a collection of mini table decorations. 
 
I got inspired one day to piece some of the items together in order to create what I personally like to call ‘my own work of art’.

Hence, I geared up the Courage to ask a man who only knew me by the name “My Barrister” and who would always remind me that life is too short and good memories are important to have.
