In this project I was given the task of creating a animal mascot, using a Kodiak bear as a reference. Here are some of the steps in the creation of the design. I started with a simple outline, paying attention to the overall shapes that help identify the animal. 

Next, I followed the outline as a guide to create details, referring to the photos of Kodiak bears to help with highlights an shadows.

The focus on the next step is to refine the shapes and create even more detail based off the last version.

The final stage of the mascot is to refine, color, and create a mark to go along with the logo. I decided to go with the variations of green for the bears base color and shadows with yellow and white as highlights.
