About the Project
Swinburne's WATTLE program required a re-brand for their official launch. I was hired as a freelancer to re-design their logo and create applications. The WATTLE program supports Women in Academia, helping them increase rank and take initiative in their careers. The final brand design provided a conceptually-rich solution for the program.

Design Decisions
WATTLE is all about strong female leaders supporting and connecting with each other. The client wanted this to be shown in the branding.
The shape of the logo represents a blossoming wattle flower, strength and perseverance shown through rising leaves. An aspirational energy is conveyed in the logo's movement, the leaves are connected to represent support and community. The WATTLE name was chosen to link the organisation to its Australian roots. The colour scheme was chosen from Australian paintings to further reflect this.
WATTLE requires an Inaugural Booklet to be made for their annual conferences. The design of the publication references the leaf shape in a modern and contemporary style, reflecting the progressive values of the program.
This identity was designed with the direction and input from the WATTLE president, collaborating and communicating frequently to design an effective solution.
