Borneo Cuisine : Pansoh
is a traditional Malaysian dish made of glutinous rice and coconut milk, which is cooked in a hollowed bamboo stick lined with banana leaves to keep the rice from sticking to the bamboo. The indigenous tribes of Malaysia - basically any area in Borneo where bamboo grows in abundance - have long used this method of cooking, which uses a bamboo vesicle.
is typically served with meat dishes such as chicken curry or beef rendang during celebrations such as Hari Raya and Hari Gawai. Pansoh and Lemang is popular among Malaysians, Indonesian Malays, Minangkabau people, and Borneo's Iban people.
