CONTEXT

Here is a narrative and interactive project based on a story created by Thomas Dubois: "Château Noir." As a concept artist, he created all the concept art in this project. We collaborated to transform the project into a digital experience and bring Thomas's images to life.This story is a metaphor for the fairy tale: Sleeping Beauty. It's a more mature but also darker version. The project combines original artwork, typography, interactions, and animations to create a story that reflects themes of adventure, courage, and a little magic.
THE STORY

Aurora, our main character, crosses the forest to find a mysterious castle in which she will go through more rooms and discover what she hides deep within herself. This project brings us to reflect on our deepest thoughts and our dearest wishes.
THE EXPERIENCE

This immersive experience proposes to involve the user by questioning himself on his dearest wish. The experience transcribes all the stages of her journey through the dark forest, to the interior of the castle. At the end of the story, the user/reader will have to deliver her greatest wish. The one we keep deep inside.

To start, I wanted to create a graphic identity for the project allowing me to develop graphic elements such as typography, web design, and interactions.

Then I cut Aurora's journey from the forest to the castle into three parts to create simple navigation, like in a story tale book.

Few images summarize a tiny part of the work done on this storytelling project.
To realize this project I used Photoshop for the web design part, and After Effects for the animations. Beyond the graphic design, I had a real reflection on the marketing aspect of a storytelling project. Here, I wanted people to escape thanks to the images that make them dream and enter a certain intimacy - or that the Internet user gives himself up - and that the project be shared on social networks.
