After 1 year of intermittent home-office, I realized that the technology I use for work does not cater to my needs. I've been dreaming of seamless experiences, better connectivity, mobility, and flexibility since March.
I decided to explore some of the issues, and I came up with a family of devices and software to visualize my ideal experience.
In the first part, I introduce the extremely simplified OS, the workstation base, and the detachable foldable screen that turns into a tablet/laptop.
One of the biggest annoyances in my work setup is the connection between different devices and operational systems.  File sharing should be the most basic thing, but it's a big hassle, and it varies depending on the type of file. I also use my iPad as a second screen for my windows laptop, but I only connect them when extremely necessary since the connection is not good.
In the second part of my "future of work" concept, I introduce a tablet to the system. This device gives all the portability and freedom of a tablet and the possibility to connect to other devices in various ways. Easy file sharing, extended screen both ways, broadcast... A device to help streamline my workflow.
VR has become a part of my workflow, but the experience is still very cumbersome and disconnected from my regular work in front of screens. I used the VR headset I conceptualize recently to bring this part of my experience to life. My ideal experience connects all my devices into a VR dashboard and allows me to share models and other files from the headset quickly.
Thank you!
