To coincide with the release of the latest season of Game of Thrones, HBO requested a complete UX exploration, redesign, and rebuild of their UK website.
The website was to serve as a hub to over 100 archived shows and they wanted every episode, every season, and every boxset of every show to be individually downloadable from a number of different sources and was built using React and had a custom CMS. This data gathering and organisation was a task unlike no other.
We also developed the 'Discover' tool, where viewers take a quiz format where they could pick a mood, length of time, etc, and be offered suggestions on what to watch next from the HBO back catalogue. A combination of in-house and freelance designers and developers were used to bring the project to fruition in less than 10 weeks.
