Alone Together

I started the "Blues Poster" series with Mississippi John Hurt's , with the idea that there was very little blues poster that existed.

Jazz, through the numerous covers of the different labels, has always had a more artistic and illustrative dimension.

In this serie of posters, at first it was all about focusing only on the bluesmen, and then I fell in love with Chet Baker and this sublime 1977 photo by Deborah Feingold.

A mixture of nostalgia, sweetness, an invitation to travel with this allegory of the window open to the world.

The style of Chesney Henry Baker Jr. says "Chet Baker" is to bathe the listener in delicacy, almost sensual fragility while not knowing when the break-up will come.

As with blues artists, all I had to do was picking my pencil and pay tribute to this legendary artist as best I could.

My final design was printed in France on Hahnemühle German Etching 310g. A wonderful paper with a tiny texture and a type of grain that brings some relief to the final design.

It's a real pleasure to see my print with these strong colours with a mat effect. You will see the textures on these pictures in more details.
50x70 cm print is available in limited edition on request
