Cajamarca is a city in the north of Peru with a great cultural tradition, where the past and the present are mixed and countless customs and traditions are preserved: starting with the pre-Inca culture with its ceramics, music and textiles, passing through the Spanish conquest where the baroque architecture prevailed in the city leaving its mark until now in the central area, until today where the city is recognized for its colorful and joyful carnival. In addition to having perfect landscapes and lagoons to visit.
I wanted the logo to represent each of the elements to be proud of and to be easy to distinguish and apply to different pieces. Also demonstrating the joy of the city, the diversity of colors of the textiles and carnivals, all this contrasted with the history that can still be seen in many streets and stone buildings.
Cajamarca is not only a city with a history and deep values, but also development, joy and union. In this way, a dynamic lake was necessary, easily recognizable and that contrasts all its characteristics.

Cajamarca es una ciudad al norte del Perú con una gran tradición cultural, donde el pasado y el presente se mezclan y se conservan infinidad de costumbres y tradiciones: comenzando con la cultura pre inca con su cerámica, música y textilería, pasando por la conquista española donde la arquitectura barroca predominó en la ciudad dejando huella hasta ahora en la zona central, hasta la actualidad donde se reconoce a la ciudad por su colorido y alegre carnaval. Además de contar con paisajes y lagunas perfectas para visitar.
Quería que el logo representara cada uno de los elementos por los cuales sentirse orgulloso y estos sean fáciles de distinguir y aplicar a distintas piezas. Además demostrando la alegría de la ciudad, la diversidad de colores de la textilería y los carnavales, todo esto contrastado con la historia que aún se puede apreciar en muchas calles y edificios de piedra.
Cajamarca no es solo una ciudad con una historia y valores profundos, sino también desarrollo, alegría y unión. De esta manera era necesario un lago dinámico, fácilmente reconocible y que contraste todas sus características.
