This custom designed 12' rotating globe overlooks the Dallas Arts District deck park.
Working with the Museum Arts team, my design was prototyped in wood, then the CNC cut aluminum structure was mounted with frosted acrylic panels, and an LCD light source and water jet brushed aluminum continents. The 25 "economic indicators" edge-lit plex panels were CNC etched with reverse contrast images in a course bitmap line halftone.
This dramatic instillation in the Im Pei designed Federal Reserve atrium overlooks the Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren deck Park. I chose the Porche red and silver accents and leather sofa to tie the project in with the Arts District branding and hints of red, such as the Mark di Suvero sculpture adjacent to the building.
