Beasts is a short sandanimation film made by Brigitta and Bettina Boros. The film tells the story of a night when the world turns upside down, and the beasts living inside humans can run free. The scenes were based on folk traditions from Europe.
Experiments with different kinds of sand. We ended up using sand we collected by the Tisza river.
Storyboarding began with sketches of different traditions and folk costumes we found interesting. Then we organized these scenes to fit the dramturgy we were aiming for. (Sketches by Brigitta Boros)
