A while back my sister asked me for an Illustration. She was working on an e-book translation of Selma Lagerlöfs novel that in Swedish is called Körkarlen. She gave me a description of the plot, as well as the mood and one scene in particular the she thought would be good for the cover. The scene in question depicts the first time we meet death, as he rides his carriage along the street with a single light showing it's presence in the morning mist.
