ONE HOME, ONE CHANCE

ONE HOME. ONE CHANCE. is a charitable donation project designed by No Preserves, Inc. as part of its Earth Day website debut. The project involves two parts, a t-shirt design and a pledge.

The designs are based on two key concepts: form and abstraction.

The concept was formed from studying various shapes found on Earth, water and waves, layers of soil, foliage, and the rainforests.
The colors of the designs were pulled from photographs of Earth’s oceans and the Amazon rainforest, two large bodies vital to our planet’s survival that are in imminent danger from our actions.

In designing this project, it was important to be mindful of, and to push forward the beauty of nature. The interaction between these colors is vital to the design and adds a sentimental quality to the project.
Form is used as another method to explore how we see our world. The designs take an abstract approach to exploring nature using various shapes that can be seen not only in different objects but from different perspectives.

The pledge is a simple and broad one. Rather than ask you to turn your water off or recycle your plastic, the team at No Preserves would like you to pledge with us to be mindful of how your actions affect the planet.
We ask you to question your daily routine and research how your consumer and lifestyle choices affect the environment and the creatures that inhabit it. We ask you to stay inquisitive about how food gets to your table, how America manufactures goods, what materials are harmful to ourselves and our communities.
