I decided it would be useful digital art practice if I made a project for myself. This comic book project called "Guten Naught" is based on dreams that I've had in the past and recorded in my dream journal. These first 3 pages are based on a dream from May 30th 2017, my very first dream recorded in a journal.
As of right now I have 40 dreams in my journal and I continue to have bizarre dreams almost every month. I look forward to seeing the progress in my digital art improve and change throughout this comic book. At the end of each dream post I will provide the notes (which are taken in bullet-point form) I took right after I had my dream.
Note: I have made adjustments in the comic strip from the original notes because I wanted to make the dream sequence more reader friendly.
May 30th 2017 Dream Notes
-I'm a princess or fair lady of some sort
-setting:party/ball at a castle (fairy castle?)
-situation, first half was a blur
-then I went into a corridor glowing w/ flowers and such and glass panes lining it
-a man was persistent in asking "so do you want to marry me?" and saying "you are going to marry me!", being very demanding, not explaining who he was or answering my questions: "who are you?" "why should I marry you if I don't even know you!"
-I gave him the silent treatment, he got frustrated and dragged me out to the courtyard proclaiming "this is my wife!"
-the media surrounded then a media helicopter shone a light in my face
-he asked "are you my wife or not?"
-I was silent, the dream ended
***his face was hidden from me the entire time***
