Product Description

The Action Book was designed by the Behance team and is based on the Action Method. The four distinct zones on each page provide a flexible template to get the most out of meetings and everyday brainstorm sessions (see usage guidelines below).

Your Passion is your work, treat it well. The Action Book's cover is a unique suede-to-the-touch hard cover. The pages are made of 80lb Premium Blend paper with a subtle texture (30% post-consumer recycled), printed full bleed, double perforated, and three-hole punched between both perforations for maximum flexibility.

The Action Book is part of Behance's Action Method product line, the first in a series of Behance projects to help creative professionals boost productivity and make ideas happen. The Action Method was designed to help us push projects forward by organizing our ideas and focusing on action steps. An accordion-style pamphlet on how to practice the Action Method accompanies every product.

The Action Book is used by leading creatives in the agency/advertising world as well as at top design studios and innovative companies across industries. The 2008 TED Conference also featured a limited edition TED Action Book to help participants make ideas happen.

Usage Guidelines

Capture Action steps, relentlessly.

During a brainstorm/meeting or on the run, ideas can come and go unless they are captured as action steps.

Tend to your Backburner.

Keep a "Backburner" to catch ideas that may someday become actions. Whether it is an idea for the future or some small errand you want to remember, put it in the backburner and then forget about it.

Think beyond lines and boxes.

The dot matrix on the front and back of each page serves as a subtle guide for your notations and sketches.

Preparation and Focus Items.

Plan for meetings beforehand and be sure to address your focus items.

More on perforations: Most people want perforated pages (and the pages are pretty stuck in there unless you tear them yourself). At some point, we may consider a non-perforated notebook as well. Thanks for the ongoing feedback!

UPDATE from Behance Team: We have improved the perforations in the latest batch of Dot Grid Books (problem was limited to Dot Grids), based on your helpful feedback/suggestions! The perforation is now a bit more "patient" for the right time to tear... -scott + behance team

I have to agree that this works wonderfully and the cover is nice to the touch. The holes are good for putting individual sheets into binders and the perforations are easy to use.
*The only CON is that they (the perforations) work too good and my pages easily fall out during use.
Is there an non perforated version?

This is a really great tool for ideas, creativity, action, etc.

My only comment on the book is to offer a non-perforated version. It doesn't take much for the perfs to separate from the book before the meeting is finished (if i'm flipping from front to back).

Otherwise, this kicks butt.

Very nice. But as a left-hander (the more creative side of the brain) I can't write in spring bound books. Such a shame or I'd be in.
